Why Wage Premium Matters
- Higher wages improve H-1B petition approval — USCIS considers offered wage relative to prevailing wage when evaluating specialty occupation petitions
- Level I wages are risky — Entry-level (Level I) wage offers face higher denial rates. Companies paying well above prevailing wage typically offer Level II+ positions
- Competitive pay signals employer investment — Employers paying premium wages are more likely to invest in your immigration process long-term (including green card sponsorship)
